Each school performed a creative piece at St. Helens town hall on what they believed to be the biggest issues St. Helens town is facing. A few of the key issues that were brought forward included; knife crime, bullying, drugs and alcohol abuse, homelessness, poverty and poor mental health. The children are hoping for more to be done by their local council to make their town a safer place to live and encourage more businesses to thrive. Supported by Bericote Properties and led by MD Productions, this project is one of many taking place throughout the Learning to Work programme which aims to provide awareness of career opportunities and encourage students’ aspirations to achieve.
